Regular dental examinations are a vital part of your preventative dental plan and we strongly suggest you visit us every six months for dental examinations.
What is a Dental Examination?
What to Expect During a Dental Examination?
One of our highly skilled dentists will gently examine each tooth and all your gums for any signs of problems. Oral cancer screenings are carried out periodically to check for any changes to your oral tissues, which include your tongue, lips, cheeks and the roof and floor of your mouth. If required, we will take dental x-rays or photos of your mouth to examine an area more closely and to help us explain any problems more easily and clearly.
How Much Will a Dental Examination Cost?
The cost of a dental examination can vary depending on whether any digital dental x-rays are required, but it is a reasonably priced and highly affordable procedure. We know it is often easy to put off regular dental examinations, especially if you feel your mouth is healthy, but we urge you not to do this. If we do discover anything is wrong, treatment is likely to be quicker and less invasive than waiting for the problem to develop, by which time you are more likely to need emergency dental care. It is an excellent way to maintain your natural teeth, we hope for life.
Please don’t forget, we have an online booking system, so if you are overdue for a check-up why not schedule that appointment straightaway? You can call us on (03) 8820 1699. Our practice is located at Ground Floor, 150 Jolimont Rd, East Melbourne 3002.
