Precision Dental Implants In East Melbourne

People Asked:

How does modern technology improve dental implants?

By utilising 3D-guided surgery, we can plan the exact position of your implant before the procedure even begins, resulting in a more accurate placement and a minimally invasive experience.

Whether you are based in East Melbourne or commuting from nearby Richmond or Fitzroy, maintaining a healthy, aesthetic smile is easier than ever. At our clinic on Jolimont Road, Dr Leighton Phu takes a comprehensive approach to dental health, ensuring every patient receives tailored care. Just like we assisted our patient Maxine, our team focuses on preserving your natural teeth while enhancing your smile through precise, evidence-based treatments.

Our Approach to Dental Implants

Advanced 3D Planning

When replacing a missing tooth, we begin by taking a 3D CT scan of your teeth and jaw structures. This allows us to 3D-print a model of your jaw and use advanced software to plan exactly where the implant needs to be. In the lower jaw, this process is vital to ensure the implant is placed in healthy bone while safely avoiding critical structures like the main nerve that supplies sensation.

Guided Surgery for Accuracy

From our 3D plan, we print a custom surgical guide that allows for highly accurate implant placement. Because we dedicate significant time to planning the implant position prior to the surgery, the actual procedure is minimally invasive and highly efficient. For Maxine, the entire appointment took only 40 minutes.

Recovery and Integration

Following the surgery, we review our patients after one week to ensure the area is recovering well. After three months, we take an X-ray to confirm the implant is healthy and fully integrated, allowing us to begin the final step of building the replacement tooth.

We invite you to experience dedicated care at our East Melbourne practice. To discuss your needs, please call us on (03) 8820 1699 or book an appointment online today.
